Factsheet 'Collection and recycling of packaging waste, an international comparison'
This KIDV factsheet concerns the implementation of the European Directive for packaging and packaging waste and the collection and performance in recycling in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France and Spain.
The European Directive for packaging and packaging waste (94/62/EG) has been implemented differently by various EU member states. As part of the 'Collection and recycling of packaging waste' project, the KIDV commissioned the Dutch environmental organization Stichting Natuur & Milieu to produce a fact-based overview about implementation of the directive, the collection and the performance in recycling in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France and Spain.
On the outcome the KIDV has produced this factsheet with a brief overview of the countries in relation to each other, followed by a summary for each country.
